ATTENTION ALL INCOMING RIDGEVIEW 7TH – 8TH GRADE BOYS:

THE PICKERINGTON RIDGEVIEW BOYS GOLF TEAM IS ACTIVELY
LOOKING TO ADD MEMBERS TO THE PROGRAM
• AT THE JR. HIGH LEVEL (7TH/8TH GRADE),
SOME MINOR BACKGROUND TO GOLF IS NECESSARY
• THE STUDENT-ATHLETES DO NEED THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT AND SOME
EXPERIENCE ON THE GOLF COURSE AND DRIVING RANGE

• ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES NEED A COMPLETED PHYSICAL PRIOR TO TRYOUTS
FIRST PRACTICES AND “EVALUATIONS”
• Mon, July 29 at 12:30 PM at Turnberry, 9 holes, mixture of purple/orange tees
• Tues, July 30 at 12:30 PM at Turnberry, 9 holes, mixture of purple/orange tees
• Students must attend both
• Students pay for greens fees (unless they have a membership at Turnberry)
• We look to keep as many as 12 players between 7th and 8th grade
• Cuts are only considered when we have more than 12 players interested
SCHEDULE AND FORMAT
• Practices and matches are typically held during the week after school
• Practices can be on the range, putting green, or on the course ranging from 3-9 holes
• Most matches are 9 holes, with a couple of 18 hole events on Saturdays
PAY-TO-PARTICIPATE AND MEMBERSHIP
• Pay-to-Participate was $155 last school year
• Membership at our home course of Turnberry is required and is $175
• These fees cover all greens fees, range balls, transportation, coaching & team apparel
